The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is a voluntary conservation program administered by the USDA-NRCS that offers farmers and ranchers financial cost-share and technical assistance to implement conservation practices on working agricultural land. EQIP assistance is available through a general pool, and also through special initiatives like on-farm energy, organic transition and high tunnels, and regional efforts. • Adding high tunnels to your farm to extend your season of production
  • Transitioning to organic cropland
  • Installing fencing to support rotational or prescribed grazing practices
  • Establish and execute a nutrient management plan
  • Invest in water infrastructure, including irrigation
