A New Agrifinance

In early 2025, I got an unexpected email from a manager at BTC Bank asking if FarmRaise would consider serving its clients.

BTC is Missouri’s largest agricultural lender, with over a billion dollars under management. Known for going the extra mile for producers, the bank has a deep reputation for farmer-first service. I knew I had to see them in person.

I boarded the Missouri River Runner headed west from St. Louis to Bethany during planting season, watching producers sow crops into the soil as we sped by. The landscape reminded me of just how much critical data lives on farms and in farmers’ heads. Pairing FarmRaise’s ability to capture that information with BTC’s legacy of producer support felt like the start of something big.

The BTC team welcomed me with warm hospitality. At their headquarters, we toured the FarmRaise product and began to co-envision the future of ag lending powered by technology. We talked about how daily or weekly automated tracking could give farmers a leg up, save time at tax or loan reporting deadlines, and improve overall financial health.

We also saw the efficiencies for loan officers. Instead of chasing outdated or messy spreadsheets, they could rely on a single source of truth. Saving time and money on both sides is a true win for lenders and producers.

Our conversations pointed to a new model of agrifinance. The old way - asking for one-off financial reports without supporting farmers in collecting data - is no longer sustainable. The future is continuous, supported data collection that makes reporting seamless and sends a message of real investment in producer success.

I’m excited to share that FarmRaise and BTC Bank have now formalized a partnership. BTC will provide FarmRaise to its clients, strengthening and streamlining farm operations across the Midwest.
